Black Adam Nightmare
By Ryan Funes
Pulsating skull, hands on head,
In the dead of night, where Puck entered my domain.
Hot, sweaty nature around me,
With pain untold in my delusional cranium.
Reality did begin to sink
As my decent into irreality did bestart.
A rod growing in me, long and black,
As I wallowed and moaned in my bed
It waited to burst from my chest
To join with supers far and wide
I move from the bed to the couch,
Trying to escape this fate so black and silent
Radio waves from nearby pork
Will jolt the rod from my cavity to join with heroes
I cower at my imagination
For believing such ludicrous things
But where does the couch start
And my mind begin?
I return to my bed of sweat and fear
And dream of Ahab and ape alike
Who are as me, taken by this rod of black
And must suffer for the sake of the world.
Finally, day breaks
The rod has left and I prepare for life mundane.
My throat is sore, but I wonder
What life eternal in that sweaty, dark unreality
Would be like for all
And the world.
A little try of mine at a poem. It's based off of a revent time when I was sick and was, as weird as it may be, inbetween reality and irreality. It was an odd experience, and I literally believed the stuff in this nightmare. Hope you all enjoy!

Wow. I had no idea what was going on, but I loved the line, "radio waves from nearby pork". I think it sums it all up for a crazy factor of about 8.5 on a scale of 10.

Excellent!
